Be Quiet! today announced the new Pure Power 9 CM series power supplies for quiet PC configurations.
The manufacturer has improved efficiency as well as signal strength with these new power supplies, managing to reduce noise to a minimum. These new power supplies integrate a new technology dubbed “Active Clamp + SR” topology for increased efficiency. They also feature a high efficiency of up to 91 percent with 80PLUS Silver certification, two independent 12 volt-rails, C6/C7 low power states support, and compliance with the Energy Star 6.0 and ErP 2014 guidelines.
All the usual protection features such as UVP (under voltage protewction), OVP (over voltage protection), SCP (short circuit protection), OPP (overload protection), OCP (over current protection), and OTP (overheating protection) are included as well. For cooling, the Pure Power 9 CM range features a new 120mm fan based on the Pure Power L8 with significantly reduced motor and bearing noise. Be Quiet! has also added new air flow-optimized rotor blades and additional temperature control sensors that help keep these new power supplies cool and quiet.
Available in 400, 500, 600 and 700 watt models, the Pure Power 9 CM PSUs have been priced between $54.90 and $84.90 and are now on sale both in the US as well as Europe. The company also plans to release models without cable management in June.
