A few days back, an alleged render showing the Honor 9 had appeared on the web. Today, yet another render of the handset has surfaced, this time showing it in a unique light purple shade.
In terms of design, the Honor 9 appears to be largely similar to its predecessor. It has the same curved edges at the back and the camera layout too is virtual identical. The dual-cameras at the back are laid out horizontally, with the laser autofocus module and the dual-tone LED flash placed next to the sensors. What is different however, is the fingerprint scanner positioning. While the Honor 8 features a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, Honor has moved it to the front with the Honor 9.
The Honor 8 came out in August last year, so we don’t expect the Honor 9 to be officially unveiled anytime soon. As for the leaked render, we cannot be completely certain yet if it is indeed the real deal or is simply a quick Photoshop job by a concept phone designer. So we will need to wait for more Honor 9 leaks to surface. There is no word yet regarding the specifications of the device either. However, it is possible that Honor will employ the more powerful Kirin 955 or 960 octa-core SoC under the hood this time.
