PowerColor today announced a brand new AMD Radeon RX 480 card, called the Red Devil RX 480 8GB DDR5. The card is based on AMD’s latest GCN 4 architecture, manufactured on a 14nm FinFET process.
As is quite clear from the name, the Red Devil includes 8GB of GDDR5 memory on a new high-speed 256-bit memory interface. Like every other Radeon RX 480 out there, it also includes 2304 stream processors with 36 compute units.
The card uses PowerColor’s latest fan technology, called the Double Blade III. With three 80mm 2-ball bearing fans, 2pcs of 8mm and another 2pcs of 6mm nickel-plated heat pipes, the cooling solution offers increased airflow and heat dissipation. As a result, the card is factory overclocked to a 1330 MHz core clock. It even includes a backplate and a PCB locked in a thermal module.
PowerColor Red Devil RX 480 will be available on sale starting 29th of July for $269.
