Power Built to Last: ASUS Announces S$1,898 TUG Gaming FX505

ASUS has announced the 15.6-inch TUG Gaming FX505 laptop, designed for durability and for sustained high-end gaming while keeping at an affordable price point.

The TUG Gaming FX505 features 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H processors with six cores and twelve threads to best handle multithreaded workloads. For graphics, it has the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti, capable of meeting high framerates at up to FHD resolution.

The laptop also features 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB PCIe SSD coupled with a 1TB SATA hard disk for the perfect balance of speed and capacity.

With a large, matte FHD IPS NanoEdge display for smooth and immersive gameplay with reduced blur, the FX505 boasts wide viewing angles, a wide colour gamut and slim bezels for maximum screen size with minimal footprint.

Gigabit Ethernet and Intel 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wave 2 gigabit-class Wi-Fi for solid connectivity, the FX505 also feature DTS Headphone:X audio for surround-sound audio on headphones on speakers, perfect for entertainment of all forms.

For peripherals, the FX505 has HDMI ports for external displays, along with two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and one USB 2.0 port.

For the best gaming experience, the TUG Gaming FX505 has keys with 1.8mm of key travel, with higher actuation points brought about with ASUS Overstroke technology to bring a more responsive action. The keyboard can support RGB lighting or a golden lighting scheme to match the colour of the chassis.

That’s not all – the TUG Gaming FX505 brings durability and longevity into the mix. Its HyperCool system is made up of independent heatsinks and fans cool the CPU and discrete graphics separately, paired with a patented trapezoid cut-lid to aid in ventillation. This along with a unique patented anti-dust tunnel that seals off sensitive components, protects the system from degradation over time.

The laptop is tested to US military MIL-STD-810G standards for sudden jolts, with an extensive battery of quality and durability tests. The HyperStrike keyboard is rated to up to 20 million actuations, and it is built for rigidity.

The TUG Gaming FX505 retails at SGD 1,898, and is available from 12th December at ASUS Brand Shop Bugis, and at all authorised retailers.
