PNY has come up with its flagship GeForce GTX 1080 TI graphics card, which it claims will “XLR8 your performance”. Dubbed the PNY GeForce GTX 1080 TI XLR8 GAMING OC, the card comes with a brand new Triple Fan XLR8 cooler sitting atop the reference PCB.
As you would expect from a flagship-grade custom GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, PNY’s GTX 1080 Ti XLR8 GAMING OC comes factory overclocked with a 1531 MHz core clock and 1645 MHz boost clock. The 11GB of GDDR5X is clocked at 11 Gbps. Thanks to the higher clock speeds, you can expect a decent improvement over the Founders Edition as far as in-game performance goes. The card draws power using a 6-pin and an 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector. One important thing to keep in mind before getting this card is that it is exceptionally long at 313mm, so it may not fit all cases out there. Display outputs on the PNY GeForce GTX 1080 TI XLR8 GAMING OC include an HDMI 2.0b and three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.
PNY hasn’t announced any pricing or availability info for the card yet, but we do expect it to go on sale in most markets before the end of next month. As for the price, you can expect it to be priced higher than Founders Edition GTX 1080 Ti cards, which are currently retailing for around SGD 1200 in Singapore.
