Philips Moda 245C7QJSB is a slim 24-inch monitor with ultra wide color

MMD, a brand license partner for Philips monitors, has announced the new Philips Moda 245C7QJSB 24-inch monitor with a slim design and ultra-thin bezels.

The monitor is claimed to be just 5.2mm thin, thinner than most smartphones out there. The top and side bezels on the monitor are impressively thin as well, measuring just 2.5mm. This makes the Philips Moda 245C7QJSB a great monitor for multi-monitor setups.

The Moda uses a 24-inch IPS panel with 16.7 million colors and a wide color gamut with 101.4% NTSC color gamut coverage. Philips claims the Ultra Wide Color technology helps produce “more natural-looking greens, vivid reds, and deeper blues to bring media entertainment, images and even productivity alive”. While it may sound like the monitor is using Quantum Dot technology, that isn’t actually the case. The panel offers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and has a native refresh rate of 60 Hz. Rest of the key panels specs include a W-LED backlight with Flicker-Free technology, 250 nit maximum brightness, 5 ms response time (grey-to-grey), and 178/178 degree viewing angles. The integrated stand only offers tilt adjustments up to 20 degrees. On the connectivity front, the monitor comes with a DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI, and a VGA input.

“This is the first in a new line-up of displays for the home to combine elegant Moda looks with Ultra Wide Colour Technology,” said Artem Khomenko, Product Manager Philips monitors Europe at MMD. “Most home users use their display both for working productively and for entertainment – and the new 24-inch display offers the best of both. It looks good in living spaces or on desks, and also provides a brilliant viewing experience with colour reproduction that is more realistic than ever.”
