Apple is certainly Happy.
Apple has managed to secure the upcoming single of one of the most popular artists in the music industry right now as a launch exclusive for Apple Music, its new music streaming service that is going to be launched later this month. It was reportedly previously that the company would try to bring in subscribers for its service by inking exclusive deals with musicians and that’s precisely what it appears to be doing.
Pharrell Williams revealed through a post on his official Facebook page that his new single titled Freedom is going to be released as an Apple Music exclusive on June 30, that’s also the day on which Apple’s new music streaming service is launched for everybody.
However Pharrell didn’t really confirm for how long his new single will remain exclusive to Apple Music, and whether or not his new album will also be launched as an Apple Music exclusive when it arrives later this year.
Apple Music will go live on June 30, folks who own the company’s devices will be able to subscribe to it. The company is initially offering a three month free trial to all users after which they will have to pay $10 per month to continue using Apple Music.
