Paid Google Android Apps Will Soon Be Available In Singapore


If you are using an Android smartphone and wondering when the paid Android apps would be made available in Singapore, here’s a piece of good news. Google has just announced that it will be increase support for paid Android apps to consumers and developers.

Singapore, 1 October 2010 – Today Google announced that the Android Market will increase consumer access and developer support for paid applications in several new countries. Developers from the 20 new countries can now sell paid apps on Android Market. In addition, consumers from 18 new countries will soon be able to purchase the apps from Android Market. This latest expansion of Android Market means more applications — including games, social, and productivity apps — for consumers and more sales opportunities for developers in more countries.

Starting today, developers in Singapore can upload and sell priced applications in Android Market enabling the promotion and monetization of their hard work. Developers can choose to sell their apps in any or all available countries to mobile users around the world.

Over the next two weeks, the number of countries where Android users can purchase priced apps will increase to 32 including the addition of Singapore. Consumers in these newly supported countries will have access to over 80,000 free and paid apps in Android Market, which they can access directly from their Android-powered device.
