Oppo has silently unveiled the R5s mid-ranger, an upgraded version of the R5 that the company had launched late last year. With a 4.85mm thin profile, the R5s is one of the thinnest smartphones in the market.
Similar to its predecessor, the R5s comes with a 5.2-inch AMOLED 1080p display. However, the internals are a little different. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-vit octa-core SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM. You get 32GB of internal memory (no expansion slot), 13MP rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and an f/2.0 aperture lens, 5MP front-facing camera, 2,000mAh capacity battery with Fast Charge, and 4G LTE connectivity.
The specs are definitely quite impressive overall, especially when you consider the asking price of just $226. It isn’t yet available for purchase but you can expect it to go on sale soon in the Grey color option on the OppoStyle website.
