The Oppo Reno, instantly recognisable with its slanted extending top tray, has been launched in Singapore. At the event, Oppo reinforced its focus on creativity with a first-ever partnership with top creators in the local scene.
First announced in Shanghai on 10 April, Oppo shared extraordinary growth figures with 6% market share of the premium segment at 863% growth rate.
Its unique extending mechanism allows for an incredible 93.1% screen-to-body ratio with a 6.4-inch OLED display. Beneath is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset with 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage. It is powered by a 3765mAh battery that enjoys quick charging with Oppo’s proprietary VOOC 3.0.
A more standard version uses the Snapdragon 710 and a 8/256GB configuration, along with a larger 4065mAh battery that also has VOOC 3.0.
In addition, the Oppo Reno focuses on photographic excellence with the Reno 10x hybrid zoom, which composites information from three lenses with different focal lengths. These include a 48-megapixel super definition main camera that uses the Sony IMX586 sensor for excellent low-light performance, along with an upgraded Ultra Night Mode 2.0. Along with it are a 13-megapixel telephoto camera lens, and a 8-megapixel 120-degree wide-angle shooter. This effectively provides an equivalent zoom range of 16mm-160mm.
