The sequel to last year’s Oppo Find 7 could be launched soon as an Oppo Find 9 handset has been spotted in promotional materials from Chinese carrier Guangzhou Mobile.
The leaked promotional materials highlights the carrier’s upcoming 4G LTE Cat.9 mobile network. Along with details on the 4G network, it also lists some of the smartphones that will be capable of supporting the 4G LTE Cat.9 network. One of the smartphones listed as compatible is the Oppo Find 9.
Currently, the only widely available high-end mobile chipset to support LTE Cat.9 networks is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, so it is almost certain that the Oppo flagship will also be powered by the chipset.
What’s strange is that Oppo seems to have moved directly from Find ‘7’ to Find ‘9’, What happened to the Find ‘8’? We do not know, but we could perhaps find out when the Find 9 goes official, hopefully sooner than later.
