Oppo’s fabled Find 9 flagship is back in the rumor mills. According to a new rumor out of China, the Find 9 will feature a ‘bezel-less’ design similar to the Nubia Z11 launched last year.
Announced in June last year, the Nubia Z11 features a very attractive design with almost no bezels on the sides. However, its top and bottom bezels aren’t as tiny as on the Xiaomi Mi Mix or the upcoming Samsung and LG flagships, which could mean the Oppo Find 9 will not boast of an 80%+ screen-to-body ratio.
The Find 9 is expected to be available in two variants: one powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset and the other powered by the flagship Snapdragon 835 chipset. The Snapdragon 653-powered variant is expected to include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the Snapdragon 835-powered model will get 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal memory. When it comes to imaging, the Find 9 is rumored to feature a 21MP primary camera at the back and a 16MP resolution selfie camera on the front. Keeping the lights on will be a 4100mAh capacity battery, which does sound very impressive.
The Oppo Find 9 will reportedly start at CNY 3999 ($581), which is definitely quite steep for a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 653 chipset. There is still no word on a release date though, so it isn’t clear how many more months we will need to wait for the Find 9 to finally be announced.
