Oppo Find 5 TD launches for China Mobile, comes with Snapdragon 600

Oppo has started taking in pre-orders for the Find 5 TD, which is a China Mobile variant of the Oppo Find 5.

The Find 5 TD will work on China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA 3G network, and features hardware that has been tweaked from the original Find 5, which was launched last December. The Find 5 TD is powered by a a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600, which offers faster clocks than the original Find 5’s 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset. Although both chipsets can be clocked higher, with the Snapdragon 600 officially clocking in at 1.9 GHz and the S4 Pro at 1.7 GHz, it looks like Oppo is limiting core clocks to eke out a little more battery life.

Other than the increase in processor clocks, internal hardware is the same. The Find 5 TD comes with a 5-inch full-HD screen with a 441ppi pixel density, 2GB RAM, 16/32 GB internal memory, 13 mega-pixel camera that features an Exmor sensor from Sony and connectivity in the form of NFC. The device comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The Find 5 was originally set to launch on China Mobile’s network in May, but the launch was cancelled at the last moment. However, pre-orders have now started for the Find 5 TD at 2998 Yuan ($487), although there is no word on international availability yet.
