Chinese smartphone maker Oppo today introduced a new member to its Neo series with the Neo 7. The smartphone comes with a mirror-finish back and runs on Oppo’s Color OS 2.1 on top of Android Lollipop.
The Oppo Neo 7 packs a 5-inch display with 540 x 960 qHD resolution and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.2 GHz. Other specs include 1GB of RAM, dual SIM support, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 2420mAh capacity battery, and 4G LTE connectivity. Like other entry-level smartphones, the Neo 7 sports an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP front-facing camera. You can actually use the display as the flash for taking selfies under low-light.
The Neo 7 will be launched in several key international markets, including US and India. No details on pricing yet, but we expect it to be quite affordable considering the rather unimpressive specs on offer.
