OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu has posted a new teaser on the company’s Weibo page, confirming that the next OnePlus smartphone will be named the OnePlus X.
The OnePlus X is expected to be a smartphone with a focus on design, rather than hardware specs. Based on rumors, the smartphone is expected to be smaller than the OnePlus 2, sporting a 5-inch 1080p resolution display. Under the hood, the OnePlus X could feature MediaTek’s MT6795 SoC, clocked at 2.2GHz.
Other rumored specs of the device include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, 13MP rear camera with 4K video recording, 5MP front-facing camera, 3000mAh capacity battery, USB Type-C, NFC, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It is expected to be unveiled on October 12th at a media event in India, with a price-tag around $249.
