The upcoming OnePlus 5 has made an appearance on the popular AnTuTu benchmark database, revealing some interesting new info.
Listed as the OnePlus A5000, the smartphone runs on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC with the Adreno 540 GPU powering the graphics. The exact display size hasn’t been listed, but the resolution does confirm that OnePlus has no plans of switching to 1440p resolution for now. Similar to the OnePlus 3 and the 3T, the OnePlus 5 is likely to sport a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution.
The prototype caught on AnTuTu features 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which again, is identical to the OnePlus 3 and 3T models from last year. Not much appears to have changed in the camera department either. The OnePlus 5 will include a 16MP resolution camera at the back as well as the front. Finally, the benchmark listing reveals the smartphone will be running on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system at launch.
While no reliable source has confirmed a release timeframe yet, it is rumored that the OnePlus 5 might be announced sometime next month. We expect more details regarding the smartphone’s major features as well as a possible announcement date to be revealed by the end of this month.
