A new report out of China claims OnePlus is likely to announce its next flagship smartphone the OnePlus 2 at a special press conference next month.
A July release definitely does make sense as OnePlus CEO had earlier revealed that the company plans to launch the OnePlus 2 in Q3 this year.
As for the specs, the report claims the OnePlus 2 will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, and a 5.5-inch 1080p resolution display. More interestingly, the price of the smartphone has been tipped to start at a very affordable 1,999 CNY ($322).
Even though the OnePlus 2 will be a lot more affordable than other flagship smartphones, you will still need to have an invite to buy one. OnePlus CEO recently made it clear that the company doesn’t plan on getting rid of the invites system with its next flagship, at least initially.
