OnePlus 2 to go official on July 27th, event will be live streamed in virtual reality

OnePlus 2

OnePlus has finally revealed the official release date of the OnePlus 2 flagship smartphone. The company’s next flagship will be announced on July 27th at 7:00pm PT and the whole event will be streamed in virtual reality.

The VR launch of the OnePlus 2 will allow viewers to stand right next to the company’s team when the flagship smartphone is officially unveiled. To view the VR launch event, all you will need is a cardboard VR headset. OnePlus has made its own cardboard VR headset that has been made specifically for the OnePlus One.

So far, OnePlus has revealed that the upcoming flagship smartphone will offer the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and a USB Type-C port. Rest of the specs remain a mystery for now, but earlier rumors mention a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB RAM, and a 13MP rear camera. We do not have any idea about the pricing either, except that it will cost ‘more than $322’.
