One of a kind red Mac Pro 2013 goes up for auction

Jony Ive and Marc Newson are teaming up with Sotheby’s to auction a one of a kind red Mac Pro.

As far as we can gather, the red Mac Pro 2013 is everything the regular Mac Pro is except that the for-charity edition is coated in a bright red instead.  Aside from a gallery of some rendered pictures of the brightly colored Mac Pro, there aren’t any specs listed on Sotheby’s website.  With an estimated going price of somewhere in between $40,000 to $60,000, the red Mac Pro is probably as premium as it can get.

This is all the details you’ll get from the auction:

Selected and customised by Jony Ive and Marc Newson for the (RED) Auction 2013. Edition 01/01. Engineered extruded aluminium

Height: 9 7/8  inches (25.1 cm)
Diameter: 6 5/8  inches (16.8 cm)
Produced by Apple Inc.
