At the ongoing Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, NVIDIA today revealed its new Titan X flagship GPU. NVIDIA is claiming it to be the most powerful and the most advanced GPU yet.
The new flagship NVIDIA GPU boasts of a 12GB framebuffer and has a total of 8 billion transistors. The graphics card also includes a whopping 12GB of VRAM. NVIDIA’s CEO Jen-Hsun Huang unveiled the graphics card during the Unreal Engine presentation today. He claimed that since the Game Developers Conference this year has been all about Virtual Reality, a more powerful GPU such as the new Titan X is required to achieve the full potential of the technology.
Sadly, no other details on the card have been revealed so far but NVIDIA has promised that more information will be revealed soon and that the Titan X will be available for consumers very soon. According to rumors from a few weeks ago, the Titan X is likely to be priced around the $1,350 mark.
