Recently a report claimed that NVIDIA will be releasing the GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card earlier than expected, at Computex 2015 in Taipei. Barely a fortnight before its rumored release date, more details about the card have surfaced online,
According to Korean website HWBattle, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti will come with a total of 2,816 CUDA cores, lower than the 3,072 CUDA cores on the GTX Titan X. The number of texture mapping units will be lower as well, 176 as compared to 192 on the GTX Titan X. As had been revealed earlier, the GTX 980 Ti will use the GM200-310 GPU, a slightly less powerful variant of the GM200-400 GPU used on the Titan card.
As far as the other specs go, the report doesn’t have much to add but it is likely the card will come with 6GB of VRAM on a 384-bit GDDR5 memory interface, and a TDP of around 250W.
