NVIDIA will be introducing its new GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card at Computex on Tuesday. However, right before its official announcement, detailed benchmarks of the card have appeared online.
Chinese website Zol.Com.Cn managed to get their hands on a GTX 980 Ti before everyone else and put it through various benchmarks to gauge the performance of the card. As you can see in the charts below, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti perform surprisingly well in all benchmarks. In fact, in most of the benchmarks, the GTX 980 Ti manages to perform very close to the significantly more expensive GTX Titan X.
This is slightly surprising since the GTX 980 Ti is based on a slightly less powerful GM200-310 GPU with ‘only’ 2,816 CUDA cores instead of 3,072 CUDA cores on the GTX Titan X. Video memory is half that of the Titan X at 6GB. It also features 176 Texture Mapping Units compared to 192 on the Titan X.
