Along with the R9 300 series of desktop graphics cards, AMD will also be revealing its Radeon M300 series mobility chips very soon. While the M300 series mobility chips have not been announced yet, leading PC manufacturer Lenovo has listed a few of its Y series notebook models with AMD’s upcoming mobile GPUs.
The company’s 14” portable gaming and multimedia laptop the Y40 has been listed to come with up to AMD Radeon R9-M375 GPU. Another model that lists an upcoming Radeon M300 series GPU is the G50-80. The entry-level notebook is listed with the AMD Radeon R5 M330 GPU, which is an upcoming low-end GPU from AMD.
Few months back, benchmarks of AMD Strato Pro/XT and Litho Pro/XT leaked on GFXBench with 4GB and 2GB of GDDR5 memory respectively. These two are likely to be the more powerful high-end GPUs of the new Radeon M300 family.
The most impressive of the new M300 series Radeon mobility GPUs will no double be the flagship R9 M385X/385 and the R9 M380. These will take on NVIDIA’s Maxwell based GTX 980M and the GTX 970M GPUs that have been available on leading gaming notebooks since a few months now.
