New Meizu X spy shot leaks online

Meizu’s rumored Blue Charm X or simply Meizu X has been caught on camera yet again. An alleged image showing the rear of the smartphone was leaked online today, with a Huawei Honor 8 next to it in Blue.

It should be noted that the latest spy shot doesn’t completely match with the previously leaked images. While previous alleged leaked images of the Meizu X showed the rear camera positioned towards the center of the upper part of the handset’s back, the latest leak suggests the rear camera will be positioned in the upper left corner of the smartphone.

However, there are a few similarities as well. The positioning of the Meizu logo matches for the most part, and it is now quite clear that the Meizu X will not be equipped with a fingerprint scanner at the back. Instead, the fingerprint scanner is likely to be embedded inside the home button on the front.

Just like the design of the handset, we do not know much about the hardware inside either. But if rumors out of China are to be believed, the Meizu X will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core SoC under the hood. On the software side, the Meizu X will be the company’s first smartphone to ship with Flyme 6, based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

The Meizu X will be announced at a media event on November 30th in China.
