New Lamborghini Tauri 88 limited edition smartphone makes us drool

Lamborghini and luxury go pretty much hand in hand. One of the premier sports car manufacturers in the world, Lamborghini also makes some pretty interesting Luxury gear from time to time, that are as exclusive as their sports cars are, and sometimes almost as expensive as well. But then, for someone who can afford a Lamborghini, that simply won’t matter. Targeted at connoisseurs with deep pockets, Lamborghini today unveiled its latest luxury smartphone – the Tauri 88.

The Tauri 88 will be going on sale before the end of the year and offers the kind of design and build quality you would expect from a product that has the Lamborghini branding on it. The smartphone is made of premium materials like steel and the most high-quality leather. You have various color combinations to choose from as well like black, gold and steel mixed with black, red, orange and brown. As far as the hardware specs are concerned, they are actually pretty decent and not disappointing like most other luxury smartphones. You get a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution display, a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for expansion, 20MP rear camera, 8MP selfie shooter, and a 3200mAh capacity battery that promises to delivery 35 hours of talk time and up to 1000 hours standby. That’s definitely pretty impressive, and we would love to verify the battery life claims, but it doesn’t look like that is going to be possible though.

You see, the Lamborghini Tauri 88 is a limited edition smartphone and only 1947 lucky souls will be able to purchase the smartphone. 1947 happens to be the birth year of Lamborghini’s founder Tonino Lamborghini. Okay, we know, you’re more curious about the price than anything else. Well, the Tauri 88 has been priced at a whopping $6000. Still interested?
