New detailed renders of Huawei’s next flagship smartphone the Mate 8 have been leaked online, showing off the device from every angle.
The renders confirm a metal build for the Mate 8, along with three different color options that will be on offer – Grey, Gold, and Copper. We also get to see the rear mounted fingerprint scanner, positioned right below the rear camera. On the front, the main highlight is the near lack of bezels on the sides, which should give it a pretty high screen-to-body ratio.
The Mate 8 is rumored to go official on October 28th and will be Huawei’s first smartphone to be powered by the new Kirin 950 SoC. Rest of the rumored specs include a 6-inch 1080p display, 3/4GB RAM, 32/64GB storage options, 16 or 20MP primary camera with a dual-LED flash, 8MP front-facing camera, and a 4100mAh capacity battery. The smartphone is expected to ship with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow version out of the box, with Huawei’s Emotion UI running on top.
