Nativ releases a bit-perfect CD Ripper powered by Gracenote

Nativ Sound LLC has come up with yet another new classy gadget. This time, the company has unveiled the Nativ Disc, which is a bit-perfect CD Ripper that allows you to import up to 12,000 CDs into your Nativ Vita high-resolution music player.

The Nativ Disc is a true plug-and-play device, which can be connected to the Vita simply via bus-powered USB. To help people re-discover their music after adding their CDs to their digital music collection, Nativ has tied up with Gracenote. Gracenote will automatically recognize imported CDs and add detailed album information as well as cover art which will then be displayed on the Nativ Vita’s 11.6” touchscreen UI.

To import CDs into the Nativ Vita, all you will need to do is insert your CD into Nativ Disc and they will automatically be copied to the built-in hard disk drives in lossless FLAC, uncompressed WAV, or lossy MP3 format.

The Nativ Disc has been priced at $599, but limited quantities will be on offer at $499 during the company’s Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign at this page.
