MSI unleashes the world’s first NVIDIA VR ready mobile workstation


MSI’s new WT72 mobile workstation is now on sale. The WT72 is the world’s first notebook to be NVIDIA VR Ready and features the professional Quadro M5500 GPU.

Built with performance in mind, the WT72 packs 6th Generation Core-i7/Xeon processors, up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, and the latest NVIDIA Quadro M5500 GPU. The Quadro M5500 is the most powerful mobile GPU yet, boasting of a 35% increase in performance over previous models.

Apart from being a mobile VR workhorse, the WT72 is also an exceptional multimedia notebook. The notebook comes standard with a 17.3” 1080p IPS panel, but you do get the option of a higher resolution 4K panel as well. Both displays feature True Color Technology with Adobe RGB certification. For a powerful audio experience, the mobile workstation is equipped with audiophile-grade Dynaudio speakers with MSI’s Nahimic Audio enhancer.


The MSI WT72 also includes a SteelSeries backlit keyboard, USB 3.1 ports with Thunderbolt 3, dual fan design for greater cooling, and Killer Gaming Network E2400.

Prices start at $5,499 for the base configuration and go up to $6,899 for the fully decked out model.
