MSI today announced the launch of its new GT73VR Titan series gaming laptops with the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series graphics, a new cooling system, and a 120Hz/5ms panel.
The MSI GT73VR Titan series is also the first 17” gaming notebook line to be offered with GeForce GTX 1070 SLI. The GeForce GTX 1070 SLI delivers up to 64% greater performance than even the desktop GTX Titan X. Consumers can also choose to get the notebooks with the GTX 1080 instead, which in itself is a beast when it comes to performance. To keep the GTX 1070 SLI setup cool, MSI is using a Cooler Boost Titan cooling design on the GT73VR Titan SLI. This solution consists of dual powerful whirlwind fans with 29 ultra slim blades and up to 12 heatpipes. The GT73VR Titan Pro model with a single GeForce GTX 1080 too uses the same cooling solution, but with “only” 10 heatpipes.
Apart from GTX 1070 SLI, the GT73VR Titan SLI also comes with an impressive 17.3” display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time. Not only does the display boast of buttery smooth motion, it also offers a wide color space with 94% NTSC color gamut coverage. The regular GT73VR Titan will come with an IPS display with 72% NTSC color range.
Some of the other key features of the GT73VR Titan series include the latest PCI-E Gen 3 x4 with Super RAID 4, Dynaudio speakers with over 106dVB volume, Nahimic 2 audio technology with a SABRE audio DAC supporting 24bit/192KHz sampling rate, and MSI Dragon Center with 1 Click VR Ready.
