MSI Trident is the world’s smallest VR gaming desktop

MSI today introduced the Trident, world’s smallest VR gaming desktop. Despite being extremely compact with a size of a mere 4.7 liters, the Trident is claimed to deliver desktop performance levels that fit any gamer’s demands.

So, what’s inside the MSI Trident? Well, the Trident features a 6th Gen Intel Core i7-6700 / i5-6400 processor and a custom made MSI desktop GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING graphics card with either 3GB or 6GB of GDDR5 memory. To keep the PC running cool, MSI has utilized its exclusive thermal design, Silent Storm Cooling 2, which not only ensures unmatched cooling efficiency but also makes sure the Trident stays as quiet as an assassin. There are 2 SO-DIMM slots inside the PC, supporting up to 32GB DDR4 2133 MHz memory. For storage, the MSI Trident offers space for 1 2.5” HDD/SSD and 1 M.2 SATA solid state drive.

To complement the breathtaking case design, Trident features RGB Mystic Light as well. There are multiple ports on the front as well as the back, letting users connect all their game devices. Two high-speed USB ports on the front of the desktop can be used to connect your game controller as well. For VR devices, the Trident is equipped with VR-Link, which includes a front HDMI out port. On the communication front, Trident comes with Intel WGI219V + Intel dual-band wireless-AC 3168, and Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy.

The complete and read-to-go gaming system will be going on sale worldwide by the middle of this month. MSI hasn’t revealed any info regarding pricing though.
