For competitive overclockers participating in the MSI Master Overclocking Arena 2011 Asia Pacific Final, today marks the day of reckoning – where 12 teams vie for four top spots – in order to advance to the next level in this cruel battle called "Operation: Jakarta."
Waking up in the Mangga Dua district of Jakarta, Indonesia, is a simple matter of responding to daybreak, prayers, and traffic noise. However, this time around, it was a little unsettling.
That was because morning involved visiting the mayhem in Room 1606: Home to two overclockers who might've more liquid nitrogen than haemoglobin in their bloodstream.
Room Of Doom.
They might actually have mastered the art of recycling gaseous nitrogen back into liquid form just to sustain their black crafts; I didn't dare ask.
"Shrek" on the left, "Louislkw" on the right.
The dynamic duo finally agreed to have their picture taken when they got bored of waiting for the competition to start.
Many others looked like they wanted to see some real carnage!
This is no Stairway to Heaven, nor a scene from Inception, just overclocking veteran "jengkol" making his way up to the battle grounds. He's all ready to put some perpetual sleep into any pretender who crosses his path.
Maybe not yet.
