Motorola ‘unofficially’ confirms the DROID Maxx 2

Ahead of Verizon’s October 27th event, Motorola has unofficially confirmed the upcoming DROID Maxx 2.

The DROID Maxx 2 was accidentally listed on the help page of the company’s website, showing how users can remove the back cover of the device. As suggested by a leak in the past, the smartphone will support interchangeable back covers in different colors. So while the back cover can be removed, the battery isn’t user-replaceable.

Yet another confirmation comes from the screenshots published on the Google Play Store for Motorola’s stock email client, Moto Email. In one of the screenshots, the “Sent from my DROID MAXX 2” signature can be seen. As you would expect, the screenshot in question is no longer available as Motorola quickly pulled it after it realized the ‘mistake’.
