Motorola is preparing to launch the Moto G4 in the next couple of months, and much has been said about the next Moto G handset thanks to an increased number of leaks that has given us both specs and live pictures of the device. Today, a new Motorola handset, dubbed Motorola Affinity, has been spotted on an import listing website, suggesting a new Moto E device could be in the works.
There’s no indication of the Affinity being a Moto E other than the import price – at Rs. 5,164 (roughly $80), it seems well poised to be a part of Motorola’s cheapest smartphone lineup. Import prices are not always a confirmation of a device’s actual price, however, but benchmarks of two Motorola handsets last month do give us an idea of some of the specs we can expect from the alleged Moto E 2016.
These specs include a 5-inch HD display, a MediaTek quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The MediaTek chipset is the largest indicator of the benchmarked devices being variants of the Moto E 2016, though at this point we will have to wait and see what the near future holds for Motorola’s smartphone lineup.
