Mirror’s Edge 2 announced at E3 [new trailer]

After years of speculation and teasing, EA DICE finally lets loose the next installment of their parkour action game.

We were teased earlier this year with mentions on gaming forums and accidental Help Centre postings, but EA finally let the chips fall where they may. The game was announced during EA’s E3 press conference and here is the official trailer:

Mirror’s Edge 2 will feature their original protagonist, Faith and looks to have a lot more combat than the first game. The much acclaimed Frostbite engine from the Battlefield series will also be driving the title.

Producer Sara Jansson says the game is currently in development and will be released “when it’s ready.”
