A new report published by Windows Central sheds more light on Microsoft’s upcoming Surface Phone.
According to the latest report, the launch of the Surface Phone next year will coincide with the debut of the Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 2 update in April 2017. Apparently, Microsoft delayed the launch of the Surface Phone only because it is waiting for the Redstone 2 update to be completed. The Redstone 2 (as well as Redstone 3) update will center on “innovation around mobile phones”
Like the BlackBerry Priv and a few other enterprise-focused smartphones, Microsoft’s focus with the Surface Phone will reportedly be to make sure that it stands out as the most secure smartphone in the world as well as the ultimate smartphone for productivity.
The report also adds that Microsoft is going to continue working on the Continuum feature in order to help differentiate its smartphones and market them as true alternatives to a computer.
