The phone is currently undergoing testing in India.
Microsoft’s huge focus on the budget market has become rather apparent in the last couple of months, with quite a few low-end Windows Phone smartphones having made their way to the market. The Lumia 435 is currently the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 device available, and it looks like Microsoft is working on another similarly priced handset that has recently been imported into India for testing.
Carrying model number RM-1099, this mysterious Lumia smartphone has a 4-inch display and comes in a dual SIM variant as well. That’s the extent of info available on the device, but judging by the per unit price of the import units, the RM-1099 could possibly be cheaper than the Lumia 435. That means it could have extremely entry-level hardware; the RM-1099 will likely run Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box, but will no doubt be getting updated to Windows 10 after launch.
