Microsoft Implements New Bing Rewards Program

To attract users to use Bing, Microsoft has implemented a new rewards program. All you need to do is download and install the tooolbar, and whenever you search or use Bing, you earn credits which can be used for redemption.

The Bing Cashback program has been discontinued, but Microsoft has gone with a new Bing rewards preview program based on credits. However, it requires users to download and install their toolbar which is very much like some other credit/cash earning sites. Thankfully, this is software giant we are talking about, and you earn credits by using Bing – searching on Bing, setting your homepage to Bing or trying out new features of Bing.

And when you have accumulated enough credits, you can redeem rewards from the categories of entertainment, food and dining, Bing gear, gift cards, photography and electronics and travel; A Bing USB drive needs 1100 credits; a Date Night DVD requires 3528 credits while Amazon.com gift card takes 541 credits to redeem. Best of all, shipping is free.

The Bing rewards preview program will expire 30 Sep next year and accumuated credits to be used by end of 2011. Unfortunately, no luck for those in Europe or Asia as the offer is only open to U.S. residents.
