Microsoft causes Nokia to delay launch of Lumia 1520 phablet

Windows Phone users seeking to snatch up the phablet-sized Nokia Lumia 1520 is in for a bit of bad news, as a report is claiming that the official unveiling of the handset is delayed for another couple of weeks.

The delay, which is purportedly caused by Microsoft’s takeover of Nokia’s phone business, definitely stinks for WP users who have heard of reports that the phone might make an official debut sometime in October.

One could speculate that, because Nokia and Microsoft are now tied at the foot, Microsoft is taking an even closer look at the Nokia flagship phablet.  Could the phone be rebranded to a Surface product instead?  Is Microsoft working on some last minute changes to the handset to make it more of a Microsoft hardware?  Whatever the case may be for the cause of the delay, chances are the phablet will drop towards the end of this year.

Speaking of phablet, Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Note III soon, and surely there will be some heated debates on which platform and hardware should reign supreme.
