The Xbox 360 is close to the end of the road as Microsoft has announced that it has decided to stop manufacturing new Xbox 360 consoles.
The Xbox 360 completed 10 years last November, with over 80 million units sold since it was first launched in 2005. However, Microsoft will continue to sell existing inventory of the console in various markets, with the availability varying by country. Support for the console will also continue for now, along with access to Xbox Live services for the console. Owners of the Xbox One will also be able to continue playing Xbox 360 games on their console through backwards compatibility.
Xbox 360 was no doubt a great console and was the foundation for the Kinect, dashboard refreshes based on fan feedback, and the start of system updates.
