Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Demo Sweeps Japan with Free Shirts

Konami, in commemoration to their upcoming release of the full demo of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance on December 13, plans to give all gamers across Japan a treat by giving exclusive prizes at demo booths installed in various tech stores starting December 15.

There are still a few months before the game is officially released, but at least gamers all across Japan can have a little extra beside the sword-slashing treats that the PS3 game Metal Gear Rising Revengeance has to offer. This is because Konami, in celebration to their upcoming release of the game's updated demo on December 13, 2012, plans to roll out a country wide campaign to promote the title, by opening up demo booths at selected tech stores all around Japan.

The chance to play the demo alone may already be very enticing, but it would be quite better for those who will participate in Konami's live demo. This is because each person who played the demo of the game in the selected tech shops will be awarded with a special fan pack. The first item on the pack is an exclusive pamphlet of the game, and the other is a limited-edition Metal Gear Rising Revengeance T-Shirt. The fan pack will not be delivered at a later date, but would be instantly handed to the participants after they played the demo. There are of course a limited number of fan packs available, so if you're in Japan, you better line up very early in the morning if you ever want to have the chance to have one.

So far, Konami has been quite secretive about the entire game project. We first saw Metal Gear Rising Vengeance as a short clip. Then, the trailer progressed little by little. Afterwards, the promotion campaign moved forward until a very short demo of the actual game was publicly released. Now, with just a few months wait, it probably wouldn’t hurt to get a little warm up from their free demo release, although it'd certainly be more memorable to those who could get the shirts.

The campaign is slated to start from December 15, and would last for about two days until December 16, 2012. Of course, people who may not be interested in the event, and those who cannot attend the event anyway (due to obvious regional "restrictions") may simply enjoy the full demo at the Playstation Store.
