Days after the Meizu MX5 Pro images leaked online, an alleged live photo of the Meizu MX5 has shown up today, courtesy of Chinese website CNGDT.
The Meizu MX5 leaked image shows off a metal body, instead of a glass back seen in the Meizu MX5 Pro leaked images. This confirms that the smaller variant will come with a metal unibody design while the larger MX5 Pro is likely to feature a metal and glass build, similar to devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Sony’s Xperia Z series.
Meizu MX5 is expected to include a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD AMOLED display, MediaTek MT6793 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB onboard memory, and a 20.7MP rear camera. It will reportedly run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Meizu’s Flyme OS 4.5 custom layer on top. Both the MX5 and its larger sibling the MX5 Pro are expected to be officially announced next month.
