Famed analyst Pan Jiutang has revealed that MediaTek will be coming out with a 10nm flagship mobile SoC next year, dubbed the Helio X30.
Similar to the Helio X20 and the X25, the X30 too will be a deca-core SoC utilizing a tri-cluster configuration. The high-performance cores will be based on “Artemis”, which happens to be the next-gen Cortex-A solution from ARM, targeted at premium smartphones and tablets. It will also include support for up to 8GB of memory and feature a new PowerVR GPU to handle the graphics.
The leaked benchmark shared by the analyst shows the Helio X30 reaches a score of around 160,000 on AnTuTu, which is around 30,000 points higher than what the Snapdragon 820 manages. Smartphones powered by the 10nm Helio X30 chipset are expected to be released next year.
