That too on the eve of Apple’s Spring Forward event.
In just about a couple of hours Apple is going to take the stage in San Francisco to formally announce the impending release of the Apple Watch. Apart from providing us with more details about its first smartwatch the company is also expected to talk about some of its other products.
Rumor has it that new Macs are on the menu. While it is unlikely that the much rumored 12 inch MacBook Air will make an appearance, the possibility exists that the MacBook Air lineup could be refreshed with new processors and graphics. A similar refresh is also expected for the 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro.
A major indicator of this happening is the slide that has been witnessed in shipping estimates of MacBooks through Apple’s online store. Status for the MacBook Air models and the 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro has slipped from “in stock” to “1 business day.”
This often happens when new Macs are on the horizon. As far as the MacBook Airs are concerned the new models might bring Intel’s new Broadwell processors and Intel HD 6000 graphics. 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro is likely to receive new processor and graphics as well, possibly more RAM as well.
Recent reports suggest that the 12 inch MacBook Air might not be unveiled until June, when Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference takes place, at that event the company is also expected to unveil its new music streaming service.
