Live Galaxy S4 Zoom pictures confirm leaked renders

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom

The Galaxy S4 Zoom was treated with a leaked render yesterday, further confirming the existence of the camera-phone. Now, TechTastic reports live action images of the Galaxy S4 Zoom, only confirming yesterdays leaked renders to be legit.

Samsung is expected to unveil their camera-phone on June 20. Dubbed the Galaxy S4 Zoom, this variant of the S4 will pack hardware similar to the S4 Mini, with a huge camera (capable of optical zoom) at the rear.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom

Galaxy S4 Zoom Quick Specs:

  • 1.6 GHz Dual-Core CPU
  • 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) Super AMOLED Display
  • 16 MP Rear Camera With Optical Zoom
  • 8 GB Internal Storage, Expandable Up To 64 GB
  • Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS
  • Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

These live action images show the phone coated in white with a really large bump on the back, perhaps larger than the one in Nokia’s Preview 808. At first glance, the phone looks like it is literally a Galaxy S4 Mini fitted with the additional camera unit on the back. The differential coloration of the two parts only makes that more apparent. We don’t have much doubt that this is indeed like turning a hatchback into a sedan, but were hoping against hope that it isn’t the case with the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

In any case, we should have all the information and details regarding this phone on June 20th.
