LG Vu 3 announced, comes with Snapdragon 800 and 5.2-inch display

LG announced its latest device in the Vu series, the Vu 3. The device features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 and a 5.2-inch 720p display.

The Vu 3 maintains the 4:3 ratio that was seen in earlier variants, although it now features a 5.2-inch 720p IPS display that comes with a resolution of 1280 x 960. Under the hood, the device comes with a 2.2-GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU and a 480 MHz Adreno 330 GPU, which is what all high-end devices launching over the last two months have featured. That trend may change soon, as Intel’s Bay Trail benchmarks indicate that Intel has managed to outdo what Qualcomm is offering with the Snapdragon 800.

Other hardware includes a 13MP camera with LED flash that can shoot full-HD videos at 30 fps, 2.1 MP front shooter, 2,610 mAh battery along with 2 GB RAM and the inclusion of LTE-A radios, which gives the device the ability to connect to the faster LTE-A networks, which are already live in South Korea.

Also new with the LG Vu3 is the inclusion of QuickView cases, which feature translucent covers that allow you to view incoming notifications, date, time and messages. The Vu 3 also comes with a Rubberdium stylus, and the notebook feature that can be used with the stylus now lets you use different inputs that include acrylic paint and charcoal. Features that were seen on the LG G2, like KnockON and Guest Mode, have made their way onto the device.
