The LG Class could have a metallic body on top of mid-range specs.
LG has started teasing the launch of a new smartphone on September 21, and this device could be the recently leaked LG-H740. According to Nowhereelse, the LG-H740 could launch as the LG Class; the site has released an image that shows the phone’s name on promotional material, and LG has also revealed the back of the device as part of the teaser.
The LG Class seems to have a metallic body, something even the company’s flagship smartphones don’t offer. The metal construction could be the headline feature, as the Class is expected to be a mid-range device in terms of hardware. The specs include a 5.7-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 12/13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, 8GB of internal storage, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. LG’s rear-mounted volume and power buttons are present as well, in a vertical arrangement that also houses the LED flash and the camera sensor.
LG is expected to launch two phablets in the coming weeks, the other supposedly codenamed V10 with slightly better hardware than the Class’. These could also be the same device with different announcement dates based on region, and it won’t be long before we see what the Korean manufacturer has up its sleeve as part of its late 2015 lineup.
