New renders reveal the design of LG’s 2015 Nexus smartphone

uSwitch has teamed up with popular leakster @OnLeaks to come up with some renders of the 2015 LG made Nexus smartphone.

The detailed new renders are apparently based on factory schematics that have been provided to accessory makers by LG. Perhaps the most significant design feature that the renders reveal is the back mounted fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner has been positioned right below the protruding camera of the handset.

On the front, the smartphone will have dual-stereo speakers for loud and clear sound output. The Nexus 5 2015 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch sized display and measure 146.9 x 72.9 x 8mm in terms of dimensions. The device is likely to feature a USB Type-C port as well, as is suggested by these latest renders.

Of course, the LG Nexus won’t be the only Nexus smartphone to be launched this year. Google has also partnered with Chinese Android OEM Huawei to build the Nexus 6 successor with a rumored 5.7-inch size display.
