The K8 is the latest in LG’s new K series of smartphones.
LG recently announced the new K lineup of smartphones, with the K4, K7 and K10 the first three that were unveiled. The company has now listed the LG K8 on its Hungarian website. The K8 is a low-end device that runs Android 6.0 out of the box; the new LG X Cam and X Screen also run the latest version of Android, and it seems to be the differentiating factor for the Korean OEM’s new smartphones.
The K8 comes with a 5-inch HD display, a quad-core MediaTek processor, 1.5GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. It has 8GB of expandable on-board storage, LTE connectivity, and a 2,125 mAh battery. The K8 will be shown off at MWC, and LG will no doubt reveal availability and pricing details during the show. The K8 should certainly catch the attention of a few folks, as it’s among the first Android smartphones to be running Marshmallow, and that too on budget hardware.
