An unannounced LG smartphone with the model number H840 has been caught on the popular GFXBench benchmark database, revealing a pretty intriguing spec-sheet.
The benchmark listing reveals the smartphone will come with a 5.3-inch 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution and is going to be powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset. This is a combination that we haven’t seen before, so we do find it quite interesting. In terms of memory, the H840 packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
What does seem quite surprising, or even shocking we’d say, is that the smartphone is listed to be sporting an 8MP resolution camera both at the back as well as the front. Another weird detail revealed by the listing is that the handset runs on the outdated Android 4.4 KitKat.
For now, it looks like the LG H840 might be a “Lite” variant of the G5, similar to the G4 Beat from last year.
