Just yesterday we saw a new live image of the upcoming LG G6, showing off the handset’s glass back for the very first time. Today, a few new images of the smartphone have surfaced, showing it from pretty much every angle.
While the live images leaked yesterday had shown a shiny back, the images leaked today seem to show a brushed metal finish at the back. Most reports so far have so far suggested the G6 will come with a glass back, but these images seem to suggest otherwise. It was reported that LG went with a glass back for the G6 in order to integrate wireless charging support, a feature that has been missing on LG flagship smartphones so far. Rest of the design highlights do match up with the previous leaks though. We have a dual-camera setup at the back, a circular fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port at the bottom, 3.5mm headphone jack on the top, and the volume buttons on the left side of the handset. On the right hand side, we see a SIM card + microSD card tray.
The LG G6 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch display with 1440 x 2880 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core SoC, IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, a non-removable battery with wireless charging support, and a 32-bit DAC for audiophile-grade sound quality. The flagship smartphone will be unveiled by LG on the 26th of this month at a pre-MWC press conference in Barcelona.
